Guitarist Celso Salim is a thrilling emerging talent in the blues rock scene, making waves with his remarkable musicianship and electrifying performances. Known for his distinctive guitar style and outstanding slide guitar skills, Celso captivates audiences with exciting compositions and a soulful voice, blending traditional blues with psychedelic and Southern rock elements.
Influenced by legends such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, Allman Brothers Band, and Jimi Hendrix, Celso began playing music at the age of 6 and made his stage debut at 14, setting him on an unwavering path. Originally hailing from Brasília, Brazil, Celso relocated to Los Angeles in 2014, where he swiftly became a highly sought-after guitarist in Southern California’s music scene, establishing himself as one of the region's most respected artists.
A highlight of Celso's career is opening for legends like B.B. King, Deep Purple, Canned Heat and Joe Bonamassa, as well as sharing the stage with musicians such as Magic Slim, Larry McCray and Jimmy Hall. His collaborations with artists like Johnny Stachela, Artur Menezes, and Bull Y Los Bufalos, further showcase his versatility and ability to blend into diverse musical styles.
With six solo albums released, Celso secured 3rd place at the 2019 International Blues Challenge, and has won five Independent Music Awards, including one for Best Blues Album. Additionally, his latest collaboration with harmonica player Darryl Carriere reached the top 100 most played albums in the USA in 2024.
Fueled by his passion for creation and an expanding fan base, Celso is ready to take on bigger stages and leave his mark on the music world.
