Award winning musicians Celso Salim and Darryl Carriere join forces on a new rockin’ blues project and are now finally recording a long-waited album together that will be release in early 2022. With great musical chemistry Celso & Darryl deliver a powerful show with inspired performances and a soulful blend of guitar, harmonica & vocals backed up by a smokin’ hot rhythm section.
With 6 albums released, Brazilian guitarist Celso Salim have a solid solo career and in recent years has become one of the busiest and most respected blues guitarists in Southern California. He won 5 Independent Music Awards including “Best Blues Album”, finished 3rd place at the 2019 IBC, presented by The Blues Foundation and opened for legendary artists BB King, John Hammond, Deep Purple & Canned Heat.
Born and raised in Santa Monica, CA, Darryl started playing harmonica when he was a teenager influenced by his friend Lester Butler who would later become a famous blues artist. Playing professionally since early 1990’s when he joined The Soutones, Darryl formed his first band as lead singer in 1998 with young Celso on guitar and they been making music together ever since. He is also the leader of the PCH Band, which features legendary musicians Gary Mallaber (Van Morrison/Steve Miller Band) & Ralph Carter (Eddie Money) and in 2019 he won the Lee Oskar Harmonica Award as the best player of the IBC, presented by the Blues Foundation.
